It is our great fortune that Janet Birch will be in New York on the day of our chapter meeting and has agreed to give a talk to our group.  Janet has just written a book about the celebrated contemporary netsuke artist Michael Birch.  Of course, having been married to him for so many years, no one knows more about Michael than she does.  She will talk about Michael's life, his work and his motivation.  She will also show pictures of a number of his works.  If you have any pieces carved by Michael Birch or any netsuke you would like to show to our group, please bring them with you.

My talk about Leigh Sloggett will be rescheduled for a future meeting.

Please also bring cash for your food/drink.

RSVP to: Jeffrey Klotz, 973-616-2988 or jklotz@takaraasianart.com

Best regards,
Jeffrey
