Happy New Year

& May it be a Netsuke (& Sagemono) Filled 2012 for us all!

Our next INS SoCA Chapter Meeting is now officially scheduled for

Sunday, January 29, 2012, from noon, sharp, to 3 P.M.

We will be meeting again at Richard Silverman's Condo Building's Meeting Room,

which Richard has graciously arranged for our use.

Our Guest Speaker this time will be

Ms. Sharon Chappell

PO Box 9091, North St. Paul, MN 55109,
Phone & Fax: (651) 777-8910

If you don't already have Ms Chappell's excellent book in your netsuke library:

Product Details

Netsuke: The Japanese Art of Miniature Carving by Sharen Chappel and Matthew Welch (Jun 1, 1999)

~~~> for those who can't see the insert above, go to:
There's still time to buy it.
&, if you ask nicely, I'll bet Ms. Chappell will autograph your copy for you!
According to Richard, Ms. Chappell will lecture about "Creepy, Crawlies," or, in the alternative, any other topic which she wishes to address.
Q&A Session to follow after the lecture, so bring all your questions after you read her book.
So that we may be sure to have seating for all, please RSVP for your attendance at this meeting ASAP when you receive this email.   And please, bring a friend, or two!
Parking is free on the Beverly Hills, West side of Doheny - not on the East side (West Hollywood side), but you can also valet park at Richard's Condo Building.
Richard Silverman's Condo Building is located at:
838 N. Doheny Dr.
West Hollywood, CA 90069
The Meeting Room is right off the first floor lobby - the Concierge will direct you.
Hope to see you all there to help kick off our 2012 INS So CA Chapter Meeting Schedule!
We've got all kinds of great things planned for this year . . . might as well have fun, just in case the ancient Mayans got it right!
P.S.  If I have omitted anybody from this announcement, for which I apologize, please:
1) let them know, and; 2) let me know,
so that we keep our SoCA Chapter email membership list fully updated.
with Kindest Regards,
