At our upcoming meeting, Bob Goode will give his annual junishi presentation.  2017 will bring THE YEAR OF THE ROOSTER (Tori-doshi).  The Rooster (Niwatori), also known as Cock or Cockerel, ranks tenth of all the animals in the Chinese/Japanese zodiac. Bob's talk will discuss the role of the Rooster in the life, art, history, and mythology of the Japanese people, with emphasis on its use as a subject for netsuke.   Please bring your rooster netsuke to the meeting.  Also, feel free to bring any other netsuke you may want.
